What's inside
- A System Restore point first, and a backup of every value it changes
- Power plans: High performance, plus a gaming plan with no CPU core parking and no USB / PCIe / disk sleep
- Game Mode on, background game recording off, fewer Windows background features
- Lighter Windows visuals and optional raw mouse input
- Fortnite & UEFN run on your high-performance GPU
- PC health check: finds a full drive, old GPU driver, game on a hard disk, heavy background apps
- Boost now: close heavy background apps you pick, and Focus mode while you play
- Deep disk clean, startup apps manager, and a before / after benchmark
What it never does
- Never turns off Windows Update, Defender or the firewall
- Never touches Fortnite files or the game process
- Never downloads anything or contacts a server
- Every change is saved and undoable in one click
Honest expectation: Windows tweaks give a modest gain, mostly on weaker or crowded PCs. The big wins usually come from a free system drive, an SSD, a current GPU driver and fewer background apps. The health check tells you which of these apply to you. No tool can double your FPS.
Questions
Is it safe?
It only changes normal Windows settings, makes a restore point first, and keeps a backup of every value it touches. It is a plain, readable PowerShell script (not an .exe), so you can open it in Notepad before you run it.
Why does Windows show a warning?
The file is not code-signed, so SmartScreen may warn about any unknown script. Read it, and run it only if you are comfortable.
How do I go back?
Open JO Boost and press Undo everything. You can also use the System Restore point it created.
Provided as is. Use at your own risk and keep your own backups.
